These nano-protrusions are used to alter the path of a light beam, so that the film body produces a structural color. When the film body receives an external force, it undergoes a deformation with a change in curvature that affects the angle at which the light beam contacts the nano-protrusions, which in turn will cause the structural color of the body to deform in relation to the structural color of the body that has not deformed. Accordingly, the change in the structural color of the film body can be used to determine whether the food is in a spoiled state. |
