Modified long fiber reinforced polymeric composite flakes having progressive ends, methods of providing the same, and articles formed therefrom having enhanced strength and impact resistance

Described are a method of providing a modified polymeric composite flake for use in forming articles, articles formed therefrom and modified polymeric composite flakes, wherein resulting articles formed from such modified polymeric composite flakes have enhanced tensile strength and impact resistance, particularly at high velocity, as well as a method for increasing the average tensile strength and/or the impact resistance of an article formed from polymeric composites by using the modified polymeric composite flakes herein.
