This application discloses an Ultra-Wide Band based PPDU transmission method and apparatus, including: generating, by a first communications apparatus, a PPDU, and sending, based on a first sequence, the PPDU to a second communications apparatus; the second communications apparatus receives the PPDU, and processes the PPDU according to the first sequence. The first sequence is used to spread the PPDU, and the first sequence meets any one or more of the following: an autocorrelation side lobe amplitude of the first sequence is less than or equal to a first threshold, and an autocorrelation main lobe amplitude of the first sequence is greater than or equal to a second threshold; or a ratio of the autocorrelation side lobe amplitude to the autocorrelation main lobe amplitude of the first sequence is less than or equal to a third threshold.
