A suction device of the present invention includes: a suction head; a movement control unit that moves the suction head between a first position for sucking an electronic component accommodated in a recessed portion of an accommodation member, and a second position that is separated from the electronic component compared to the first position; and a suction control unit configured to enable the suction head to suck the electronic component when the suction head is in the first position, wherein the suction head includes an abutting part that, when the suction head is in the first position, abuts against a first surface on an outer side of an area where the recessed portion in the accommodation member is opened. By using the suction device, damage on the electronic component can be suppressed through simple control when the electronic component is sucked.
