Production method for fluorine-containing dioxolane and composition useful for production of same

The present disclosure pertains to: a production method that is for a compound represented by formula (1), and that comprises steps A, B, C, and D; and the like. (Step A) Reacting a compound represented by formula (2) with at least one base selected from the group consisting of hydroxides, carbonates, and alkoxides of alkali metals and alkaline-earth metals to convert the compound into a compound represented by formula (3), thereby obtaining a reaction product. (Step B) Measuring the pH of an aqueous solution of the reaction product obtained in step A, and if the pH is in the range of 7.0-11.0, subjecting the aqueous solution to the next step, and if the pH is out of the range of 7.0-11.0, adjusting the pH of the aqueous solution to 7.0-11.0 and subjecting the resultant pH-adjusted solution to the next step. (Step C) Concentrating the reaction product obtained in step A, a liquid obtained by mixing the reaction product with water, or the pH-adjusted solution, depending on the result of the pH measurement in s
