Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an optical laminate whose release film can be peeled off smoothly even when a linear polarizing layer and a retardation layer are included therein, the linear polarizing layer and the retardation layer each including a cured layer of a composition that contains a polymerizable liquid crystal compound. The optical laminate of the present invention includes, in sequential order, a surface protection film, a transparent resin film, a circularly polarizing plate, a first adhesive layer, and a release film, wherein the surface protection film can be peeled off from the transparent resin film; the circularly polarizing plate includes, sequentially from the side of the transparent resin film, a linear polarizing layer containing a first cured layer of a first composition that contains a polymerizable liquid crystal compound, and a first retardation layer containing a second cured layer of a second composition that contains a polymerizable liquid crystal compound; and the release film can be peeled off fr
