Apparatus and method for repairing micro-LED display capable of repairing the defect that the LED chip corresponding to a pixel fails in operation

The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for repairing defects of a micro-LED display. The apparatus for repairing a micro-LED display comprises: a stage for accommodating a micro-LED display including a micro-LED chip and a circuit pattern for driving the micro-LED chip; a laser source for providing a laser beam to remove a defective part of the micro-LED display; and an optical module for changing a path of the laser beam generated from the laser source so as to irradiate the laser beam to remove a predetermined area thereby repairing the defective part of the micro-LED display. The optical module is configured to remove the predetermined area to a depth until exposing a circuit pattern at a lower part of the micro-LED display. The circuit pattern is configured to supply power required for operation of the micro-LED chip. With the structure of the present invention, it is able to repair defects of the micro-LED display which cannot be repaired by the prior repair method.
