A detection system and a detection method for cable quality deterioration based on abnormal signaling are provided. The detection method includes: obtaining traffic from a telecommunication network and decoding the traffic to obtain a feature value of a signaling, wherein the signaling is corresponded to calling party; determining that the signaling is a first abnormal signaling in response to the feature value matching with a default rule; in response to a plurality abnormal signaling corresponding to the calling party are periodic and a number of the plurality of signaling is greater than a threshold, determining that the calling party is an abnormal calling party, wherein the plurality of signaling include the first abnormal signaling; and outputting an alarm message, wherein the alarm message indicates that a cable of the abnormal calling party has deteriorated.
