Zusammenfassung:	An object of the invention is to downsize the dual-bearing reel in the axial direction. To achieve the object, the invention provides a dual-bearing reel equipped with a clutch configured to transmit rotation of a handle to a spool (30) via a pinion gear (60), and switch ON/OFF of the transmission. A cylinder shaft (31) of the spool (30) has a clutch pin (51). The pinion gear (60) is provided with a gear portion (65) having a tooth portion disposed on the outer periphery and an engagement groove (64) engaged with a clutch pin (51) when the clutch transmitted to the reel (30) by the rotation of the handle is in the ON state, and at least part of the gear portion (65) and the engagement groove (64) overlap in the reel axial direction (X).
