Zusammenfassung:	In the present invention, in a case where an article (A) is caused to advance along an inclined conveyance direction (C) by using an article transverse-pushing body (4) that moves in a main conveyance direction (T) and that can freely move in a width direction (W) orthogonal to the main conveyance direction (T), the article transverse-pushing body (4) is caused to move inertially after being accelerated in the width direction (W) in a sorting region (B), and then the article transverse-pushing body (4), which is moving inertially, is caused to contact the article (A).
