Method and device for recognizing handwritten Chinese character

The invention provides a method and a device for recognizing handwritten Chinese character. The method includes: obtaining a handwritten Chinese character data set, wherein the handwritten Chinese character data set includes a plurality of handwritten Chinese character training data, each handwritten Chinese character training data includes a plurality of first handwritten Chinese characters, each of the first handwritten Chinese characters belongs to a first type of handwritten Chinese character or a second type of handwritten Chinese character, and the second type of handwritten Chinese character is generated by a generative adversarial network; training a convolutional neural network with the handwritten Chinese character data set; obtaining a handwritten Chinese character test data, and using the convolutional neural network to recognize multiple characters in the handwritten Chinese character test data.
