A wheelchair capable of moving a position of a user freely includes a main frame, a front supporting frame, a horizontal movement device, a seat device, and a rising and lowering device. The seat device is disposed on the horizontal movement device to allow the horizontal movement device to trigger a lateral movement of the seat device. The rising and lowering device is adapted to raise and lower the horizontal movement device. To move a user to a target such as a bed, a chair, and a toilet bowl, the state of raising and lowering the horizontal movement device and the seat device is adjusted by the rising and the lowering device, and then a folding track assembly of the horizontal movement device is unfolded to be situated at a place above the target. Accordingly, the user holds the front supporting frame with at least one hand for support, and then the seat device is allowed to slide to a place above the target by the folding track assembly. Therefore the wheelchair is safe and convenient to use.
