As an example of a garment processing device of the present disclosure, a washing machine (100) comprises: a tub in which garments are accommodated; a plurality of tanks; an automatic dispensing unit; and a control device. The plurality of tanks store processing agents which are dispensed into the tub during operation. The automatic dispensing unit dispenses the processing agents stored in the tanks into the tub. The control device includes: an operation course setting unit; and a processing agent recommendation unit. The operation course setting unit receives the setting of an operation course for processing the garments. If a plurality of processing agents stored in the plurality of tanks can be used for an operation course for which the setting has been received by the operation course setting unit, the processing agent recommendation unit recommends a processing agent on the basis of the set operation course.
