The invention proceeds from a holding device (10a-d) for detachably holding an energy store (12a-d), in particular a bicycle energy store, on a frame (14a-d), in particular on a bicycle frame, having at least one carrier unit (16a-d) which has at least one carrier element (18a-d), in particular a guide rail, for at least partially receiving and/or guiding the energy store (12a-d), and having at least one securing unit (20a-d) for securing the energy store (12a-d) in form-fitting fashion on the carrier unit (16a-d). It is proposed that the securing unit (20a-d) has at least one securing element (22a-d) which is arranged on the carrier element (18a-d) and which, in a state in which the energy store (12a-d) is arranged on the carrier element (18a-d), secures the energy store (12a-d) on the carrier element (18a-d) at least along a direction running transversely with respect to a longitudinal axis (24a-d) of the carrier element (18a-d).
