The present invention relates to a method and a program for automatically adjusting the difficulty of the professional trainings for emergency and severe care or nursing. The method includes: selecting, by a processing unit of a computer, a plurality of questions from a plurality of question banks to establish an initial question set; comparing, by the processing unit, each question of the initial question set with a corresponding answer to obtain an initial score; determining, by the processing unit, which one of score intervals the initial score falls in; then, updating the initial question set to an updated question set by replacing the questions which do not correspond to that score interval with updated questions which correspond to that score interval. Accordingly, the updated question set may have a difficulty level matching the individual proficiency of each user and thereby improve the training effectiveness.
