Zusammenfassung:	A backlight module is applied to a lighting keyboard, which has a plurality of keyswitches, and includes a light guiding plate, a lighting component and a masking component. The lighting component is disposed under the light guiding plate, and includes a substrate, a plurality of light units and a protector. The substrate has a plurality of wires. The plurality of light units is disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the plurality of wires, and respectively corresponds to the plurality of keyswitches. The protector has a plurality of protruding sections and is disposed on the substrate. Each protruding section is embedded in a chamber of the light guiding plate and covers one corresponding light unit. The masking component is disposed above the light guiding plate. At least one of the lighting component and the masking component is bent to cover a lateral surface of the light guiding plate.
