The present invention provides a fluorophosphoric acid optical glass for sheet mold press forming that has required optical characteristics, can reduce breakage and crack of the glass during multi-purpose pressing forming even if the glass is a thin plate, and can be stably obtained. This fluorophosphoric acid optical glass for sheet mold press forming, when being expressed in cation% (mol%): P5+ is 17.0% or more and 42.0% or less, the ratio of total content (Ln3+: cation%) of one or more selected from the group consisting of La3+, Gd3+, Y3+, Yb3+ and Lu3+ is below 13.0%, and the total content R2+ (cation%) of one or more selected from the group consisting of Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ relative to Al3+ content (cation%), i.e., ratio (R2+/Al3+) is 1.50 or higher and 4.00 or lower; expressed as anion% (mol%), the content of F- is 30.0% to 60.0%; and it has the required optical properties.
