Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides an overtaking assisting method. The method includes: when determining that an adjacent lane is an overtaking lane, determining whether or not a vehicle can overtake from the adjacent lane based on relevant driving data of the vehicle; and when it is determined that the vehicle can overtake from the adjacent lane, a driving speed of the vehicle is calculated, and a prompt including the driving speed is transmitted. The present invention also provides a vehicle-mounted device and a readable storage medium for implementing the overtaking assistance method. The present invention can assist the driver to overtake and improve driving safety.
