Housing and storage battery unit for suppressing increase of external dimensions of a storage battery unit

Disclosed is a housing for suppressing the increase of the external dimensions of the storage battery unit without damaging the exterior of the storage battery unit. The housing according to the present invention includes: a box-shaped main body for receiving a storage battery inside and having a mounting surface mounted with a control unit for controlling the storage battery; a gripping portion disposed at an end portion of the main body on the mounting surface side providing a space inside for gripping; and, a pair of openings which are disposed on the mounting surface separated from each other with an interval and are respectively communicated with the gripping space and the outside of the main body, wherein respectively composed in a way of at least a part of their edge portions which are able to be gripped.
