Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an insecticidal efficacy enhancer that can effectively enhance the insecticidal efficacy of a pyrethroid insecticide component having a relatively high vapor pressure in an aqueous insecticide composition for thermal transpiration that contains the pyrethroid insecticide component. The insecticidal efficacy enhancer contains, as an active ingredient, a glycol-based compound in which a hydroxyl group is bonded to each of two adjacent carbon atoms in an alkane having 4-7 carbon atoms. The insecticidal efficacy enhancer is blended in an aqueous insecticide composition for thermal transpiration that contains a pyrethroid insecticide component having a vapor pressure of 210-4 to 110-2 mm Hg at 30 DEG C.
