Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a LED device for providing a surface light source and a manufacturing method thereof. The LED device for generating a surface light source includes a substrate, a metal wiring layer, and a plurality of LED chips. The CTE of the substrate in the X-Y axis direction is between 5 to 18 ppm/DEG C, and the bending strength [sigma]fM measured in accordance with ISO 178 is between 400 and 600 Mpa. The metal wiring layer is provided on the top surface of the substrate. The plurality of LED chips are mounted on the top surface of the substrate to provide a surface light source, and the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the LED chip are respectively electrically connected with the metal wiring layer.
