Zusammenfassung:	A conduit heating apparatus and a method of heating a conduit. The conduit heating apparatus includes an annular heating element circumferentially surrounding at least a portion of the conduit. The annular heating element includes an annular channel and the method includes flowing a cooling fluid therethrough. The annular heating element also includes an interface region extending between the annular channel and a refractory ceramic material contained in an atmosphere. A temperature at a boundary between the interface region the refractory ceramic material is above the dew point of the atmosphere.
