Zusammenfassung:	This voltage application device is provided with a voltage application circuit. The voltage application circuit generates a discharge at a discharge electrode that holds a liquid, by applying voltage to a load including the discharge electrode. During a drive period, the voltage application circuit mechanically vibrates the liquid by varying, in a cyclic manner, the magnitude of the voltage to be applied to the load at a drive frequency within a prescribed range that encompasses the resonance frequency of the liquid.
