Sealing lid made of a translucent material

A lid for sealing a package of an optical element including a lid main body made of a translucent material such as for example glass capable of transmitting visible light and the like, and having a frame-shaped joining region along the outer circumferential shape of the lid main body itself. A brazing material made of multiple pieces of eutectic alloy is fusion-sealed onto the joining region of the lid main body. As an arranged state of the brazing materials, it is proposed that spherical brazing materials are arranged continuously in a line in a manner forming a frame along the joining region.
