The invention provides a memory access method which comprises the steps of selecting, scanning, determining, and storing. The selecting step is used for selecting one of the segmentation parts of the original mapping table, so as to utilize one physical page address of the segmentation part as the starting physical page address. The scanning step is used for scanning each entry of the segmentation part. The determining step is used for determining whether the memory space required for making the simplified mapping table is smaller than the memory space required by the selected segmentation part. The storing step is used for, according to the determination result, selectively storing the physical page address, the number of the randomly-mapped entries in the segmentation part and the logical page address and the physical page address recorded in each entry that utilizes the random mapping to make a simplified mapping table.
