Zusammenfassung:A data storage device with fault-tolerant design. The data storage device provides an RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) encoder engine to generate RAID parity for user data indicated by a write command. The user data is written to a nonvolatile memory according to a destination physical address indicated by the write command. The RAID parity is written to the nonvolatile memory according to a pre-defined physical address. The user data and the RAID parity are programmed to a stripe of pages within a stripe of blocks.
