A [beta]-1,3-1,6-glucan powder having a saturated solubility in water of 1.0 to 20.0 mass%. A [beta]-1,3-1,6-glucan powder in which, in the particle diameter distribution of the [beta]-1,3-1,6-glucan measured by dynamic light scattering measurement, the particle diameter for the peak representing the largest volume fraction is in the range of 5 to 15 nm, and the volume fraction of a peak outside the particle diameter range of 5 to 15 nm is 30% or less of the volume fraction of the peak having the largest volume fraction.
