A cover body (3) of the hair dryer comprises an opening (31) and said opening (31) is made to face the head of a user and cover at least part of the head. A facing surface (31a) facing the head is provided with a plurality of LED light-emitting units (34) that illuminate the scalp of the head with LED light. The facing surface (31a) is formed from a highly reflective material.
