The present invention relates to an electric connector and tongue structure thereof, in which the tongue structure comprises a shielding plate, the shielding plate comprises a main body and a bending structure disposed on the main body. The main body comprises a first surface, a second surface, a front end, a rear end, and two sides located between the front end and the rear end. The bending structure is disposed on two sides of the main body, wherein the bending structure comprises an extending member, the extending member is configured with a contact surface, and the contact surface is substantially perpendicular to the first surface and the second surface and is adjacent to the front end of the main body. The bending structure further comprises a first support member, a second support member opposite to the first support member, and an extending member connecting with the first support member and the second support member.
