Zusammenfassung: | A pyrotechnic-actuated valve assembly (100/300) may include an insert body (102) having an inlet (104a), an outlet (104b), and a flow path (104) extending from the inlet (104a) to the outlet (104b). The insert body (102) is formed of a first alloy. A shear structure (108) is bonded to the outlet (104b) of the insert body (102) so as to close the flow path (104). The shear structure (108) is formed of a second alloy. The second alloy of the shear structure (108) is bonded to the first alloy of the insert body (102) so as to form a hermetic seal. The dual-alloy nature of the valve assembly (100/300) allows a relatively clean shearing of the shear structure (108) during actuation, thus reducing or preventing the occurrence of deformation and/or material fragments in the flow path (104). |
