Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display element for improving transmissivity. The liquid crystal display element of the present invention includes a first substrate; a second substrate opposite to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer sealed between the first substrate and the second substrate and containing a liquid crystal composition; and second electrodes laminated into multiple layers between an opposed surface of the second substrate and the liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal composition has a negative dielectric anisotropy. The liquid crystal display element of the present invention can increase electric field and uniformly align liquid crystal compounds by including multiple layers of second electrodes.
