Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a bi-component anti-static fiber produced by means of a conjugate/melt extrusion spinning process where the fiber comprises TiO2 and nylon with carbon black as the conductive component of the fiber. At TiO2 loadings in the range of 20-30% by weight, the TiO2 camouflaged the normally black surface carbon stripes, and the resultant light colored yarn was comparable in conductivity to darker yarns. The resulting yarn is suitable for use in light colored apparel, especially where certain surface resistance levels are required in light colored fabrics.
