The operating method is executed by means of a controller for writing data to a plurality of memory chips of the memory storage device and performing interleaving programming on a plurality of memory chips. The operating method comprises the following steps: a write request step, a read request step, a page temporary storage area write step, a device switching step for switching to the other memory chip from said memory chips which are repeated until the respective?memory?chips complete the above-described steps, and a page temporary storage area programming step.
