According to the embodiment, the luminescent semiconductor device comprises a luminescent semiconductor chip which consists of a semiconductor layer, a transparent film provided on the aforementioned semiconductor layer, a phosphor resin layer provided on the aforementioned transparent film and containing resin and phosphor. The refractive index of the transparent film is higher than the semiconductor layer. |
