The present invention describes a process for the selective synthesis of N-Fmoc-doxorubicin-14-O-dicarboxylic acid mono ester derivatives starting from N-Fmoc-doxorubicinusing lipase enzymes and bis-acyl donor compounds such as dicarboxylic acids or anhydrides.
