The invention provides BIM-based indoor navigation technique, wherein a BIM-based indoor navigation method includes the following steps, which are implemented by a mobile device: presenting an indoor map according to BIM data in indoor navigation information; generating a navigation message according to a first path of a plurality of paths indicated in path data in the indoor navigation information; detecting motion status of the mobile device by using an inertia detection unit of the mobile device to estimate a path of a user of the mobile device; determining whether the path of the user deviates from the first path; if so, generating a reminding message by the mobile device; wherein the method performs indoor navigation with respect to each of the plurality of paths consecutively.
