Zusammenfassung:	A novel AC-to-DC electrical power converting unit configuration consists of one or several AC-to-DC rectifiers and one or several electrical power converters (DC-to-DC or DC-to-AC) connected to one or several DC loads. The loads and the power converters are coupled in series such that the same current flows through the input of the loads and the input of the power converters, and the input power to the series of loads and converters is provided by the output of the rectifiers. This novel design is more cost-effective and more power efficient than traditional designs.
