A method for detecting and determining the quantity of galacto-oligosaccharides in a sample including galacto-oligosaccharides and dextrins, said method for detecting and determining the quantity of galacto-oligosaccharides being characterized in that the sample is made to react with a derivatization reagent, the dextrins and galacto-oligosaccharides in the sample are derivatized, and then the galacto-oligosaccharide components in the sample are separated through high-performance liquid chromatography using a C30 reversed-phase chromatography column. |
