Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a process for preparing a cellulose having a polymerization degree of 350 or less starting from a chemical pulp, which comprises at least the following steps: (a) a step where the chemical pulp is treated with an aqueous solution containing sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and monopersulfuric acid; and (b) an alkaline extraction step, wherein the alkaline extraction step is conducted at 0 DEG C to 65 DEG C.
