The amorphous polymer for optical material has high refractivity, low glass transition temperature and double refractivity. The amorphous polymer for optical material has a first structure unit represented by formula (1) in the main chain. The amorphous polymer for optical material may further have a second structure unit, which is a structure unit represented by formula (2-1), a structure unit represented by formula (2-2) or combination of the structure units, in the main chain.
