Zusammenfassung:Provided are: a filler material capable of improving mechanical properties of welded sections of a magnesium (Mg) alloy material; a joined structure of the Mg alloy material and the filler material; a method for joining the Mg alloy material using melt welding; an Mg-alloy-material joined structural body; and a production method for the Mg-alloy-material joined structural body. The filler material, which is used when joining, by way of melt welding, a plurality of pieces of the Mg alloy material including at least 50 mass% of Mg, is configured from an alloy composition which includes: at least 50 mass% of Mg; and at least 0.01 mass% but not more than 6.3 mass% of silver (Ag) and/or gallium (Ga).
