Combined optical and electrical connector and portable electronic device

In a combined optical and electrical connector comprising two connectors, each having at least one optical connection part and at least two electrical connection parts, one of the electrical connection parts to be connected mutually is a pin (35) and the other is a spring contact (44b). In the forward direction of the spring contact (44b), the connector having the spring contact (44b) is provided with a positioning hole (42d) wherein the pin (35) is inserted; the leading end of the pin (35) contacts the spring contact (44b), establishing electrical connection, and the base of the pin (35) fits into the positioning hole (42d), thus achieving positioning for an optical connection. Size-reduction and weight-reduction of the combined optical and electrical connector becomes possible.
