Zusammenfassung:A method of producing an unsaturated carboxylic acid is proposed which uses a catalyst that combines superior catalytic performance with good mechanical strength. A supported catalyst is used, which is obtained by supplying a liquid binder component and a catalytically active component containing molybdenum and vanadium and/or a precursor thereto to an oscillating granulator, and performing granulation at a relative centrifugal acceleration of at least 0.5 G but not more than 30 G.
