The present invention discloses a current generating apparatus and control method thereof. The current generating apparatus is provided a load current to a load and includes a voltage source, a power conversion circuit, a switching circuit and a control circuit. The power conversion circuit has a plurality of power conversion units. The power conversion units are connected in parallel with each other and coupled with the voltage source. The switching circuit is coupled with the power conversion units and the load respectively and can output the load current to the load. The control circuit is coupled with the power conversion units and the switching circuit respectively. The control circuit produces a synchronizing signal synchronized control the power conversion units to output current, and produces a conduction signal to control the switching circuit conduction, so as to let the load current reach a preset current value quickly within a preset time.
