Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a system and method for calibrating an Internet Protocol (IP) camera. The method reads a gravity acceleration value monitored by a gravity sensor in the IP camera. When the gravity acceleration value is different from a preset gravity acceleration value, the method determines whether the gravity acceleration value exceeds a threshold. If the gravity acceleration value exceeds the threshold, the method determines whether the gravity acceleration value generates a continual and abnormal change. If the continual and abnormal change generates, the method controls an alarm unit to output a preset alarm. The invention can calibrate the IP camera timely and conveniently.
