An electronic apparatus and a method for annotating media file thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus has a media recording unit. In the method, a media file is recorded by using the recording unit, and a timeline of the media file is generated. A marking operation is received during recording the media file, and a time tag of the marking operation is set at a time point on the timeline. A note inputted by a user is received, and an association between the note and the time tag is established. When a selecting operation performed on the note is received, the media file is played according to the time point corresponding to the time tag associated with the note on the timeline.
