Die-cutting machine with monitoring transducer and method for rapidly deactivating such a machine

The present invention relates to a flat-bed sheet die-cutting and/or embossing machine, which comprises a sheet transport system, at least one processing station with a reciprocating tool, at least one driver for driving the sheet transport system and the at least one processing station, and a machine controller. According to this invention, said driving is achieved by connecting a switchable clutch-brake combination with at least one driver, and by connecting a switchable coupling device with a chain drive device. The sheet transport system is provided with at least one sensor for monitoring faults and/or defects. In addition, the clutch-brake combination, the coupling device and the at least one sensor are linked with the machine controller for data exchange, and used for switching the clutch-brake combination and, when necessary, switching the coupling device correlatively with the measurement results of sensor. This invention also relates to a method for rapidly deactivating the flat-bed sheet die-cutting
