Washing machine

This invention is a washing machine which can suppress the residual water inside the drain pipe in order to suppress the bad odor caused by Fungus. The washing machine comprises: an external tank supported within a frame body to contain water; an internal tank installed within the external tank to contain the clothes; a drain pipe which guides water from the bottom of the external tank to a drain hole at the exterior of the machine; and a drain valve which is installed at the passage of the drain pipe. The drain pipe is located more downstream than the drain valve; furthermore, the portion of the drain pipe bending toward the front, back, and lateral directions are installed in such way to descend from the upstream side to the downstream side.
