Zusammenfassung: | A method and apparatus for managing substantially continuous delivery of a data stream (34), such as streaming video, to a mobile communications device (32) traversing a networked arrangement of wireless transceivers (14, 16, 22, 24 26) at known locations. Based on a current location (P1) and velocity (V) for the mobile device (32), a predicted route is determined and used to identify the next wireless transceiver (24) likely to be accessed. Based on the calculated time of arrival at the predicted next wireless transceiver, a portion of the data stream is identified and downloaded to the next transceiver such as to be immediately available when the mobile device (32) comes within range. |
