The present invention relates to a use of zingiber officinale extract in inhibition of colon cancer cell proliferation and growth cycle. Further speaking, hexahydrocurcumin can be extracted from zingiber officinale and used to inhibit the proliferation and growth cycle of colon cancer cells.
